Henry Floyd Volunteers Deliver an early Christmas
17 July 2012
20 volunteers from the Sir Henry Floyd School in Aylesbury joined us at Calibre on Monday.
We set up a production line with 10 of the group making up our Christmas card variety packs. They packed the 1000 we needed all in a single day!
3 volunteers helped us to pack and post Calibre news - our twice yearly newsletter for local associations, talking newspapers and professionals working with visually impaired or dyslexic people.
The remaining 7 volunteers helped to clean up CD wallets ready for reuse. We often find stickers on the wallets which have to be removed as they hide the address card!
We are immensely grateful to the student group who have saved us many hours and over £1000 had we paid for commercial packing. The group return on Wednesday to help us with more mailing and wallet cleaning.
