A number of Calibre members have previously served in the armed forces, including the Merchant Navy. Although most are now retired from active service, we imagine that the 1,300 or so Calibre members who have told us they have a services background must have clocked up an amazing service history.

Calibre would like to thank Seafarers UK,  ABF The Soldiers' Charity and the RAF Benevolent fund for their regular support which provides a very welcome contribution towards the cost of providing Calibre books to our ex-services membership.

We would also be very pleased to hear from any Calibre member who has a services background which they have not mentioned to us previously or who is married to an ex-services employee - please give our Membership Services  team a call so they can add a note to your membership record.
