Where's my Dad?
24 July 2012
Lovely Wanda, the guide dog, has good reason to wag her tail. Her brave owner, Paul Milross, who is doing a parachute jump to raise funds for Calibre, has received a cheque for £200 from writer Anne Fine OBE, FRSL.
Anne, who is a patron of Calibre Audio Library, is the author behind Madame Doubtfire (Catalogue no. 15739) which was turned into a Hollywood film starring Robin Williams. Paul says he is delighted with this boost to his fundraising efforts.
‘Calibre has given me such independence’, Paul said ‘And as my work involves a lot of literature, Calibre’s service is very valuable and is second to none. I am very impressed by the quality of the recordings and they are so easy to use. I find the content carefully recorded onto the cassettes so that you are not missing the beginnings or endings of articles as often happens when information is recorded onto cassette.’
Paul is delighted to be able to have this opportunity to give a little something back to Calibre for the enormous amount that they have given to him.
